Patrick Parrish is a U.S. Air Force Officer and Olmsted Scholar currently serving in Santiago, Chile. He is an A-10 weapons instructor pilot and has combat experience in Afghanistan and Libya. He also has experience organizing and conducting multi-service training for pilots in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Romania.
Patrick has extensive experience experience in both joint and coalition planning and execution. He is a qualified instructor pilot for training in Close Air Support (CAS), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), and Forward Air Controller-Airborne (FAC-A) roles. His combat experience includes over 650 flight hours providing CAS, Non-traditional Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (NTISR), and Armed Overwatch missions.
Patrick speaks Spanish and basic German. He received a B.S. in Foreign Area Studies and German Language from the U.S. Air Force Academy and an M.A. in Operational Military Studies from Air University. He is pursuing graduate studies in International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in Santiago.
